Tri walked slowly down to the lake, her eyes unfocused and her mouth slack.

The cat observed the lake serenely.

Lily resurfaced, not noticing Tri as she swam over to the cliff where she had jumped off. Grasping a ledge deftly, she began to climb up the cliff face.

Lily accidentally grasped a sharp rock and fell back into the water. Cradling her bloody hand, she began to swim back to shore.

Feather padded to the water's edge and waited patiently for the girl to arrive.

Tri swayed a little, then stumbled forward. She caught herself and quickly looked around with a new alertness.

Lily reached the shore, climbing onto the sand and examining her hand. She winced as she began to pull shards of rock out of her hand.

Tri gathered her surroundings, then she looked back at the castle, Dang it," she muttered, " 'Did it again,"

Once the shards of rock were out of Lily's hand, she Summoned some bandages from the castle and began to wrap her wound.

Feather caught a small rodent and started playing with it. It looked like a student's rat

"No, but it looked like a student's rat." Lily held the rat almost at arm's length. "I should bring it down to the Care Of Magical Creatures classroom."

Lily waved a hand. "Cats are smart. Cats can survive. Rats," she held out the rat. "Are often the prey. Besides," she added, "I've seen that cat around school before. It'll be fine."
